One of the few surviving example of ordinary housing in the 18th century, the Ball-Sellers House was originally a one-room log cabin, built in 1742 by John Ball. Made by Ball's own hand out of notched logs and mud to fill the cracks, the house managed to survive the centuries and is now run by the Arlington Historical Society. Open to visitors on Saturdays during the warmer months of the year, the home is situated west of Glencarlyn Park in the midst of a residential neighborhood.
